Social/Emotional Skills Curriculum

The AppState Academy Lab Schools are dedicated to developing the whole child. We want each of our students to grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. As students move through the grade levels at our lab schools, we want them to be able to meet the expectations of North Carolina’s Durable Skills as discussed in the NC Portrait of a Graduate: adaptability, collaboration, communication, critical thinking, empathy, learner’s mindset, and personal responsibility. The Wayfinder Curriculum guides our teachers in implementing lessons that teach and develop these skills.
